Reflecting on Working in Real Estate

Two weeks ago on Reality Realty we had a show where listeners could call in or text some questions for us to answer live. One question that I was asked was, “What is your favourite part of being a real estate agent?” I found this question to be difficult to narrow down to one answer as there are so many reasons why I love what I do. I would have to say out of all the many positive aspects of my work, my absolute favourite part of being a real estate agent is providing success for my clients. I really enjoy getting to know my clients and learning about what kind of home and lifestyle they are searching for. When we find the right home and successfully work through the negotiations and the contract language that protects their interests, I truly appreciate having been able to be a part of this experience in their lives. Knowing that I’ve either met or preferably exceeded their expectations in both effectively selling their home and helping them relocate to another home is a really good feeling. I understand how important a home is to people and so I take my job very seriously. It most often takes many hours and hard work but in the end it’s always worth it to see the smiles on my clients’ faces.
